CATHOLIC CAMPUS MINISTRY DONATES $6,776 , June 2008
In honor of the feast of St. Anthony of Padua,
Matthew Shields, Associate Campus Minister of the JESUS CHRIST PRINCE OF PEACE CHAPEL and the Catholic Campus Ministry of William Paterson University presented representatives of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Paterson and Eva’s Village, Paterson, with checks totally $6,776.
The funds were part of the annual “Shelter the Homeless Program” sponsored by Catholic Campus Ministry and donations made to the JESUS CHRIST PRINCE OF PEACE CHAPEL in honor of Saints Jude, Anthony, Joseph and Theresa, through the second semester of the school year.
During the first semester, over $4,000 was donated as part of the Annual “Thanksgiving Awareness Program” sponsored by Catholic Campus Ministry.

During the course of the year donations are made in honor of St. Anthony by pinning money on the statue depicting the saint. Through the help of the members of the William Paterson community money is collected through the “Shelter the Homeless Program.” All funds are given to Eva’s Village and Youth Haven at the June 13th mass. In light of the tradition of "St Anthony's Bread" for the poor, money collected throughout the year, honors St. Anthony’s memory best by being donated to the poor of Eva's Kitchen and Youth Haven.

Preceeded by the procession of Saint Anthony, the Mass is one of the annual events held at the Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Chapel immediatley followed by a reception.
