ChristmasToy & Personal Care items collection
Beginning December 1 members of the Catholic Campus Ministry and staff members of William Paterson University, members of the Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Chapel community and the police of North Haledon collect new personal care items and sweatshirts for Straight and Narrow, Paterson and new toys for the families served by Catholic Charities, St. Joseph Family Clinic and the Our Lady of Victories Parish, Paterson, NJ.

Later in December  representatives from those organizations are invited to the chapel to share  toys, personal care items and individual packages for selected families, as well as over  gift cards.  All of the items are to be distributed before Christmas and before the Feast of the Magi, January 6 to families served by the agencies in the Passaic County area.

“Once again, we exceeded our own expectations”, said Fr. Louis Scurti, Director of Catholic Campus Ministry, “we are happy to have been able to share of our abundance with our neighbors of Passaic County; the William Paterson University and Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Chapel communities have shown their love of the spirit of Jesus and the spirit of Christmas in a tangible way, and we are humbled by their giving.” He concluded.

“We are grateful to the Police Department of North Haledon, who also joined our efforts again this year. “ said Matthew Shields, associate Catholic Campus Minister.
